Reviews
I've only tried the pupusas from this place, and they are pretty good compared to other restaurants in the area. So this review is for the pupusas ONLY. having said that, they taste authentic and they are generous with their sauce and curtido. Because of this, I am willing now to try other stuff there. Since the most basic of their cuisine is good, I want to assume the other plates are good as well. Will definitely update. For now food is a 5 service is a 4.
Been going here for years .. quality and service has gone down. Yesterday I got burned pupusas. Will not be going back because Manager or owner or whoever is running things has no idea how to deal with customers.
This place offers decent food, however, I’ve encountered some of the worse attitudes from their waitress. One particular waitress, that seems to be in charge of the others, appears to lack manners, communication and customer service experience. She also has an attitude and a tendency to murmur rude responses, when questions are made. She’s done it twice to me, but today was the last time. I am a paying customer, and the last thing I need is some entitled waitress’ ruining the moment. the food isn’t all that great to say the least. The place is unkept and dirty, food quality has declined in the past months. My wife and I decided to move on to other locations. Nonetheless there’s always a silver lining, we ended finding a place with great food, cheaper and great service. El Sunzal in Maywood i recommend it as a way better option.
I usually come here when I visit my mom and the past few times I went the service has been bad but today was enough for me not to come back. We sat down like we usually do and one waitress told the other one that we just sat down, so she came and told us very rudely that there is a waiting list. They were disorganized and I did put my name down but the other 2 waitresses were also rude. It’s been an hour and no call back but it’s okay because we came to el Zipote instead! Never going back to Paseo!
Passed this restaurant every week and finally stopped by today to try out. It is a wonderful discovery. Delicious Salvadorian sopa de Patas , what a bowl of deliciousness. Balance flavor with just enough of spicy, the cow feet and tripe cooked perfectly. Service is very friendly even the restaurant got super busy when I got there at 2pm Sunday afternoon. Definitely will go back and try more dishes.
Great place! Great Service. Great food. I had a Sopa de Pata which is a Menudo type of dish but with vegetables and the popusas are a good size
I ask for 3 pupusas and then realized they were fluffly and massive. I had to take 1.5 home to eat later. They were super soft and filled with cheese. I ask for a revuelta, cheese and loroco and cheese and spinach. But they have beans and shrimp amoungst other combinations. Definetly a 5 star experience. I will be back.
Been coming here for a while. The food is always good. The only thing they need to improve on is the cleanliness of the place. This last time there was especially disappointing. The windowsills were covered with bugs. Dead and alive. We were sitting against the wall and there was mosquitoes flying around. Cleanliness=happy customers
